About Me

I am a freelance writer, a lawyer, and a former law professor.  During my twelve years as law professor, I taught courses in Constitutional Law, Criminal Procedure, Critical Race Theory, and Women and the Law.  Because of my background, my writing tends to focus on legal issues impacting communities of color and women of color.

I have published articles in regional, national, and global media outlets.  My work has appeared in print and digital publications. I have also been interviewed for local web and television series.

My skills include:

  • Legal analysis
  • Making complex legal concepts understandable and relatable
  • A superb command of the United States Constitution and the Supreme Court
  • Facility with content management systems, SEO, Microsoft Office, G-Suite, and social media
  • Familiarity with a wide array of style manuals, including Blue Book, AP, Chicago, and APA
